Delivery Manager
Liz manages the delivery of projects for our clients, with a focus on cutover planning and expertise in electronic patient records (EPR) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS). She has 40 years of experience in the NHS and health IT suppliers and is a qualified transformation coach who works on our Minerva leadership development programme.
Heather Payne
Junior Delivery Manager
Heather manages the delivery of client projects and is an experienced Junior Delivery Manager with a diverse background in the NHS, self-employment, and local government. She holds foundational qualifications in PRINCEII and Change Management and is dedicated to delivering excellence across all types of projects. Heather is passionate about technology and enjoys honing her skills in software and technology.
Laurence Campbell
Digital Consultant
Laurence has a consistent record in the programme management of complex procurement and implementation projects within public/private healthcare settings and large commercial organisations. He is skilled in EPR, solution architecture, creation and leadership of multifunctional teams, and liaising at all levels to problem solve and ensure success. He leverages diverse experience in IT HR and skills development as CEO of a healthcare product vendor and as management consultant for a global IT consultancy.
Emily Petto

Emily has 10 years’ experience working as a Senior BMS within an NHS Trust Pathology department. In recent years, she has worked as a Project Manager and Transformation Manager on a variety of LIMS projects across multiple trust departments and sites and across pathology networks.
Ellie Lucas
Digital Transformation Project Manager
Ellie specialises in digital transformation delivery, change management, and PMO consultancy within healthcare. Ellie has led large-scale NHS deployments, driven operational improvements, and managed digital change in complex environments. With a strong background in programme governance, stakeholder engagement, and technology-driven process improvement, she helps organisations navigate complexity and deliver measurable impact.

Martin Jackson
Head of Finance
Martin looks after the accounts for Ethical, and provides the board with support on financial matters. He has 20 years’ experience as a Finance Director in a number of different SMEs.
Dan Wood
Communications Associate
Dan has over 25 years’ experience across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He has particular expertise in health communications, having held senior roles in government and the NHS, advising ministers and officials, leading the NHS brand management team, and supporting the national network of NHS communicators.
Teri Jones
Communications and Engagement Associate
An experienced strategic communications specialist and former journalist with 20 years leading communications in health, care, public, and nonprofit sectors. Teri specialises in strategic communications planning and delivery; transformation and change communications; storytelling and content creation; insight-led and behaviour change activity; and staff and stakeholder relations.

A highly experienced digital health leader with a strong track record of delivering national-scale innovation across health and care. Formerly Deputy Director for Digital Health at Public Health England and Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, Diarmaid now advises both public and private sector clients on large-scale digital transformation.
Kemi Adenubi
Associate - Digital Transformation
Kemi has experience of running major digital transformation programmes in the NHS, including having commercial and operational oversight for GP clinical IT systems and for the rollout of the electronic prescribing service into pharmacies. Kemi is currently a NED and committee chair at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
John Farenden
Associate - Health Informatics
John has worked in health informatics for 35 years, operating at all levels of the NHS in the UK. He has worked for technology suppliers and large and small consulting businesses throughout his career, including time on secondment as Deputy Head of Information Policy for the NHS in England. In 2017 he joined NHS England and led the Shared Care Records programme, as well as being involved in a number of other national programme boards.
Darren Mckenna
Associate - Digital Leadership and Innovation
Darren is a former NHS Chief Information Officer with over 30 years’ experience across local, regional, and national roles. He now works independently, leading digital strategy and transformation projects for a range of clients. His previous roles include CIO at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, and System CIO for Mental Health and Learning Disability services in the North East and Cumbria.
Kate Dawes
Associate - Digital Transformation
Kate is an experienced regional and C-suite board leader of strategic and digital transformation, ICS implementation, and governance with over 25 years’ experience in health and pharmaceutical care. She recently led ICSs in interim CDIO and Director of Digital roles to provide strategic and operational development and delivery in the new health and care landscapes. She is currently a program director at the Ministry of Defence.

Richard Whittington
Associate - Digital Transformation
Richard is Partnerships Director at an AI-driven healthcare company and he has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare commissioning, transformation, and NHS system leadership.
Previously CEO at LOCSU and a lead within the outpatient recovery programme at NHSE, he has been at the forefront of outpatient reform and integrated care models.
Mark Outhwaite
Principal Associate - Strategy and Leadership
Mark has over 35 years of experience in and alongside the NHS, holding senior roles including Chief Executive, Director at the NHS Modernisation Agency, and independent consultant. He specialises in supporting senior teams through complex, large-scale change, often with a digital focus and an emphasis on leadership development. Most recently, he has been developing the Networks Insight methodology for Ethical, combining Social Network Analysis and Organisational Development to drive successful transformation.
Nicola Haywood-Cleverly
Associate - Digital Transformation
With a background in engineering, Nicola has successfully led large-scale, complex and digitally-enabled transformation programmes across the public sector, at system and regional level. She has served as a CDIO in the NHS and policing and sat on several national and international technology councils. She is a NED at NHS foundation trusts, alongside being a policy, strategy, user experience and productivity consultant in digital health technology and data.
Emma Doyle
Associate - Tech Strategy
Emma has more than 20 years’ experience working in digital, tech and data in health. Her experience spans regulation, local commissioning, the central NHS and government. Emma led the development of tech policy and strategy at the highest levels of the NHS and has collaborated with and advised governments internationally.
Kevin Hamer
Associate - Digital Solutions and Innovation
A digital health innovator, strategist and ITIL v3 expert with over 30 years’ IT experience, primarily focused on innovation product and service development. Before becoming a digital consultant helping NHS organisations and SMEs with their transformation challenges, Kevin worked at University Hospital Southampton NHS FT in IT development and as senior digital manager.
